About
La Forastería is an eclectic music group from Argentina presenting an organic and immersive live set that blends Latin American and Afro-American roots with contemporary electronic textures.
Led by producer and multi-instrumentalist Tuto Petruzzi and the powerful, expressive voice of Toni Volpen, the project creates a dynamic live journey that moves through different emotional and rhythmic landscapes, balancing song, trance and groove.
With five musicians on stage, La Forastería performs a full live concert featuring vocals, guitar, charango, synthesizers, saxophone and bass.
Rather than aiming for a fixed destination, the band understands music as a path in constant transformation — where the road itself becomes the core of the experience.
BIO
La Forastería released their debut album Ofrenda in 2022, alongside two fully self-produced music videos. That year, they toured Argentina and Spain as a duo, expanding their sound and live format.
In 2023, they released their second EP Cirugía al Alma, a colourful and dance-driven work exploring different emotional states, supported by the labels Earthly Measures and Cosmovision Records.
During the same period, they released the independent video production Al Tiempo, filmed at their permaculture home in the mountains of Córdoba, Argentina, and created their own festival, Experiencia Molecular, held in a self-built environment powered by solar energy.
In 2024, following a Central American tour, La Forastería released the album Tribu Molecular, featuring collaborations with a wide network of artists. That year, they performed in a new Europe Tour at major alternative and psychedelic festivals and venues across Europe, including Ozora Festival (Hungary), 3000Grad Festival (Germany), Shambala Festival (United Kingdom) and Drienok Festival (Slovakia), among others.
In 2025, the band completed a successful European tour, presenting their album Épicas Sagradas, supported by Octo Records, a collection of original compositions conceived as a psychedelic opera moving through diverse musical textures and styles. The tour marked a new stage for the project, with a fully developed live show and strong audience response across multiple countries.
Currently, La Forastería is preparing a new European tour for 2026, with a renewed live set and an expanded artistic vision, continuing their independent and nomadic path through the international alternative music circuit.

The name Chika represents the feminine energy that lives within all of us — the playfulness of the inner girl, a remembrance of joy, softness, curiosity, and freedom.
Toro, her birth surname, symbolizes the masculine principle: strength, grounded presence, determination, and resilience. Across many cultures, the bull has long been regarded as a symbol of raw power and unwavering force.
Together, Chika Toro becomes an offering and an invitation to reconnect with both of these energies within ourselves. To embody strength without losing softness, to express ourselves freely, and to remember that joy, authenticity, and genuine connection have always lived within us.
LIVE PERFORMANCE
A live DJ and vocal performance that seamlessly blends electronic beats with live singing. Inspired by Colombian, Latin American, and African rhythms, and shaped by European musical influences, Chika Toro creates a unique fusion of house music, shamanic downtempo, and organic electronic sounds.
During her performances, she simultaneously DJs and sings live, occasionally incorporating flute, hand percussion, and other acoustic instruments. A defining element of her sets is intuitive improvisation, mantras created in the moment, and her own original songs and signature vocal expressions.
The result is a deep and uplifting musical journey that invites people into movement, connection, and the authentic experience of the present moment.
